History

Plastic Express began doing business in 1970 in Orange, CA hauling plastic pipe throughout CA and the southwest.  In 1975, we purchased our first pneumatic bulk unit and by 1977, we had three bulk units in CA.  In 1981 we branched out to NJ with three new units there.  We began a steady growth period through the 1980’s and had added bulk terminals in AZ, NV, MN, and IL by 1990.

In the early 1990’s, our packaging and warehousing efforts began with a facility in Sante Fe Springs, CA.  We moved all of our CA truck terminal operations and packaging & warehousing activities to our current City of Industry location in 1999.

In 1998, we partnered with a new CA polypropylene manufacturer to handle all of their railcar loading and switching, bulk trucking and export packaging activities.

In December, 2004 we opened a new bulk terminal in Raritan Center, Edison, NJ to handle additional growth opportunities in the Northeast.  In October, 2005 we opened a packaging and warehousing operation in Raritan Center and we are now a “one-stop-shop” for our customers on both coasts.

Today we have over 100 employees that handle the bulk trucking, packaging and warehousing needs for over 50 plastics customers across the United States and Mexico.

Our goal is to continue to exceed our customer’s expectations every day with unsurpassed quality and service. We have a strong team in place that will continue to serve our customers with the “can-do” standard that we have believed in at Plastic Express from day one.
